STEPS, the school magazine published annually in July, has a long history in DBS. For over half a century, STEPS has been pusued by students, parents, old boys, and friends of DBS, among which are prominent members of society. In recent years, more and more firms have placed advertisements in STEPS. We are writing to appeal for your generous support for this year’s publication.
With the increasing competition in the modern society, it is important for our students to deepen their understanding of the vast array of career options and outline their career action plans as early as possible. In order to better equip our students, the Careers Office is organizing a job attachment programme for G11 and G12 students in the coming July.
Depending on the available opportunity, each participating student will be attached to a company for 1 or 2 days, preferably in the post-examination period from 28 June to 13 July. The workplace experience can be arranged in various modes to suit different companies. Students will be able to tour the job sites and shadow designated staff members as the latter go through their normal daily routines. Simple tasks may be assigned to students.
Through participating in the programme, students can gain hands-on experience and see how their knowledge can be applied in the real world. The experience will certainly provide invaluable insights for students to conduct personal assessment and plan their further studies. We would be grateful if you could offer any workplace experience opportunity to our students and we are confident that students will benefit considerably from any opportunity you offer. Your generous support is pivotal to the success of the programme.
If you would like to support the programme by offering workplace experience opportunities to our students, please complete the Job Attachment Programme Form, which can be accessed via https://goo.gl/forms/yVY0GfTmkLgg03fn2 or the QR code below, at your earliest convenience. Should you have any enquiries, please feel free to contact Mrs. Jenny Tso at 27685611 or dbsmct@dbs.edu.hk, or Ms. Sharon Chan at 27685698 or dbssc@dbs.edu.hk. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
