Dear DSOBA Members,
Thanks for your enthusiastic support for the DSOBA tennis tournament. Due to unforeseen delays in the renovation of the tennis courts at Kowloon Tong Club, we need to postpone the dates of the preliminary round matches. The revised dates are set out below and the application deadline will be extended. Those who have already applied for the event please re-confirm your availability to Sonia at DSOBA asap. In case of rain or incomplete matches we will arrange outside tennis courts as reserve. We apologise for any inconvenience caused as we hope to have a successful and enjoyable tournament for all. Rules and format remain unchanged.

TIME | 07:30PM – 11:00 PM for preliminary rounds |
PLACE | Kowloon Tong Club and Kowloon Tsai Home Owner’s Association |
SYSTEM OF PLAY | Depending on number of entries; All preliminary matches will be played on an 8 games pro-set with no deuce and tiebreaker at 8 all. Semi-finals and finals will be played on best of 3 sets with tiebreaker at 6 all. |
RULES
| International rules of tennis will govern all matches. On-court disputes will be settled by the Sports Club Committee and its decision will remain final. |
TROPHIES | President’s Cup and President’s Plate to the Champion of each tournament; Trophies to the 1st runners-up. |
ENTRY FEE | HK$250.00 per person. |
PRIZE-PRESENTATION CEREMONY | Date and venue to be confirmed. |
DEAD-LINE FOR ENTRY | 19 April 2013 for Singles, 10 May 2013 for Doubles. First-come-first served basis. |

The Inter-School Athletics Championship Finals will be held on this Friday (March 1, 2013) at the Wanchai Stadium.
This is the time to show our DBS spirit to support the School. Our warrior athletes are fighting hard for our Home and they deserve to hear your cheering from the stand. When the beating of their hearts echoes the rhythm of our cheers, the entire Wanchai Stadium shall feel the true DBS spirit.
Come, let’s be in this battle together!!! Our school needs you, our boys need you!!!

Our DBS school badge has changed to the following new design starting the school year 2012-13.
Volleyball training is held every Sunday from 4-6pm at DBS Gym. During one of the trainings in December, our honorable Mr. Yung came to coach us.
We will be having our 1st friendly match against LSC old boys on this coming Sunday (20th Jan) at 4pm in our gym. Come to cheer for us!
Men’s Hockey Team It has been a challenging season so far for the Hockey team, with several injuries, in addition to work and school related commitment leading to the occasion under for the number of players on the pitch. The team has maintained good spirit and keeping together well to hold our standing in the division. The first half of the season ended on Dec 9th, with DSOBA team taking a win to wrap up in 2012. We are again off to a good start in 2013, winning the first match on Jan 6th. The team is confident to pick up and move forward with better results as we go into the second half of the league season, from now till end of April. We are calling to all Old Boys who are interested to join the team, or to come out to show support on the pitch! Let’s Go DBS!
We are sad to announce that Mr. Cheung Man Kwong Class of 1955 passed away on 13 December 2012.
